My child has never played netball before, is this ok?

Absolutely! We encourage everyone to have a go, to learn some new skills and have fun.

What standard of netball is required to join?

We welcome all levels; those who want to join our club to have fun and those that would like to reach a high playing standard and progress.

Which age groups do you accommodate?

We have recently added a new Minis section to our training programme. This is for Year 3 to Year 5. Juniors is for players from Year 6 to Year 9 and players in Year 10 and above join our Youth section.

Do you have to live in Hitchin to join Hitchin Netball Club?

Not at all! We welcome players from Hitchin and surrounding areas including Bedfordshire.

Do you train outside?

Yes training is on outside floodlit courts; we are at the mercy of the British weather!

How can I as a parent support the club?

Our Club runs heavily on the back of our volunteers. The Committee and Coaching positions are all filled by our enthusiastic parents who have plenty to offer the club and its operations. The roles of each are defined on our website. These roles are determined annually at the Club's Annual General Meeting. If you are willing and able to help in any way please contact us; we will be very happy to hear from you!
